Christian Bale as Thomas’s voice in Pocahontas
In 1995, Disney dared to present the first Native American princess ever in the box office hit Pocahontas. This movie was inspired by the real story of Pocahontas, the daughter of the powerful Chief Powhatan, and it tells the story of the encounter between Native Americans and colonizers.
While Disney hired Native American actors to voice some characters in Pocahontas, they chose Christian Bale to lend his voice to Thomas. Bale became a renowned actor thanks to his role as Batman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy.
