This person thought it was a toga party, but turns out it wasn’t
Here’s another misunderstanding that could’ve been avoided to spare this person an awkward moment. Next time you receive an invitation to a party and convince yourself it’s a themed one, reread it. And then a third time to be safe. You don’t want to dress up in a toga like @Appodlachia.
A toga is a loose gown that almost hits the floor and only leaves the arms uncovered. You must have seen it in Ancient Rome paintings, and college graduates wear a modern version of it before throwing their hats in the air. Not the ideal outfit to attend a regular party, though.
