Too many cups, not enough drinks
In many childhood homes, hoarding glassware was considered normal. They were stored in high cabinets where children couldn’t reach them and gathered dust until distant relatives visited or for special events hosted at home. Breaking one of these could result in being grounded for weeks with a constant reminder of your offense.
Unfortunately, as many mothers and grandmothers continued to pile glassware only used once in a blue moon, many still do not know that they are compulsive hoarders. After all, their mothers did it before them, so why should it be a problem?
