Categorizing receipts to keep track of expenses
Everybody is guilty of this. Before you deny it, hear me out first. Look into your center console or glove compartment- if you find more than twenty receipts in your car alone, you could be unconsciously hoarding.
This is to tell you that many people hoard items without even knowing it. This is why some hoarders only realize they have a problem when family and friends let them know. You could make excuses that you need your receipts for financial accountability or to track your expenses. Is that why you have receipts dating back three years? Thanks to the internet, you can request your bank statements without leaving your house, so what do you need these many receipts for? Open your eyes! This is compulsive hoarding.
