A Shuffle Button?
The modern elevator was invented around the middle of the 19th century, and it has undergone various changes and improvements in safety, aesthetics, and automation.
It has undergone so much change that the one in this picture features a shuffle button. We wonder what the shuffle button is meant to do, perhaps to shuffle the floors of the building or shuffle the numbers that each button represents.
