Learning by poem
Rhyming can be a powerful device to memorize important information. While being a student, everyone has at least tried it once. It might be an advantage to set your summaries in rhymes to help remember several pieces of information.
But in this case, just as Doctor Seuss would do, the teacher chose to give a warning in verse. And seeing how @rock_sister still remembers it, we can say it is a successful technique. And an excellent way to prevent students from copying from each other.
