Who doesn’t have a teacher they hated? And despite what your parents might have said, you knew deep down that the reason you were failing that class was as a personal vendetta against you. Even if there was no specific evidence, you knew they singled you out.
At least @ryanguard could validate this theory about himself. It also might be a good feeling to know that you won the battle against your teacher if they had to forfeit the war. It may have sounded mean, but in the end, everyone won. With the teacher retiring, they never crossed paths again.
