This kid thought her mother lived in the black and white era
We’re amazed by the way children perceive the passing of time. For them, adults are at least five hundred years old. Older people grew up in the tramway days, communicated via handwritten letters, and rode a bicycle with a giant front wheel. They also think their grandparents had dinosaurs as pets, said Yabba Dabba Doo, and rode a foot-mobile to work.
Sorry to break it to you, young kids, but you’re entirely wrong. Things were in full color when everyone’s parents were children. And they were that way in their grandparents’ era as well. Cars, TVs, and telephones aren’t that old. When kids become adults and have children, they probably feel offended when asked the same thing they ask elders nowadays.
