Some goodbyes are more complicated than others
One of the first jobs a young woman can have is babysitting. Taking care of a little kid for a few hours doesn’t seem complicated, does it? It might seem like it unless you have to take care of a difficult child who never wants to go to sleep, or even worse: a kid who is rude when saying goodbye.
We don’t know how or where the little girl learned such a rude farewell, but chances are she heard it on TV. Sometimes, kids can’t figure out that specific phrases are ill-mannered. So, we recommend that children watch television under the watchful eye of an adult who can help them understand what’s appropriate and what isn’t.
