Confronting your manager may go wrong
Imagine having to work with your family. If you have a good relationship with your parents, having them as your coworkers or superiors can seem cool. You can joke around and talk about family matters. But you can’t forget that they are still figures of authority, more so if they are your managers.
Michael used to work with his parents, and you could say that the situation did not end well. Nobody wants to watch their mom being yelled at, but if your dad is the boss, you might want to save that conversation for later. Nevertheless, his dad told him, “see you at dinner” after firing him, which is hilarious.
