Not everyone follows the five-second rule
Sometimes, working with food can be a bummer. When something is not up to standard or fails some health regulation, you have to throw it out without any consideration. Even the slightest mistake, like dropping a popsicle to the ground, means that food must go to the trash, and you might not be allowed to take it for yourself.
Sydney’s friend thought she could pick up the rock candy that had fallen to the ground, but she got fired for it, and security had to escort her out of the amusement park. Remember that it looks rather bad to eat food from the ground at your work. Even if you follow the five-second rule, your boss will not like it.
