Some people order a cake for their mothers on Father’s Day
Father’s Day and Mother’s Day can be challenging for those who grew up in a single-parent household or recently lost a parent. Bakeries get hundreds of orders in the weeks around those dates, many of which request a seemingly contradictive phrase written.
Having the cake read, “Happy Father’s Day, mom” or vice versa is not that strange when one thinks about it. Some mothers or fathers do the work of both parents, and it is sweet that their children want to show appreciation for that.
