The landlord thought sending a cake would make the eviction notice less painful
Getting evicted is never a positive experience. One landlord thought to give the tenants a thirty-day eviction notice along with a customized cake. This gesture may be considered passive-aggressive or sensitive. We’re not sure, but the cake will give sustenance to the tenants while they pack.
Even getting a free cake won’t take the sting or stress out of such a dramatic event. No one wants to get evicted, and making light of it with a cake is not the best way to handle this scenario. No amount of dessert will make the tenants feel better about having to move and find another home.
