Sometimes tough love is necessary
Tough love may not be a very popular strategy to adopt when managing co-workers or colleagues, but there are situations when it is useful. For instance, if a co-worker quits their job despite your advice not to, then sharing your opinion with them may be necessary.
A thematic dessert might be the perfect medium to transmit your message of tough love. Decorating a cake that shares your hope for their failure might be a bit too much, but there is nothing wrong with showing concern for another person’s future.
