They gave a loved one pink eye and tried to apologize
Pink eye is a highly contagious infection, so if one of your friends or family members has it, it may not be long before the infection spreads to others. Whoever asked for this cake was unfortunate enough to spread the eye infection to a loved one.
They thought they would make up for it by sending them a treat. The cake decorators took the brilliant decision of adding a reddened eyeball to bring the message home. Hopefully, this kind and humorous gesture succeeded as a peace offering.
