In this case, it is the parent the one who deserves to be punished. While the child’s drawing was silly and gross, it did not justify this person having to hear the news that their grandmother had died via text message.
Usually, we would be harsh to children who send inappropriate text messages to their parents. However, when it comes to informing someone that a family member has died, this parent takes the cake for having the worst bedside manner in history.
