The etymology of the Rockett surname
People’s surnames have different origins. They depend entirely on where your family comes from and whether they changed over the years or not. Some last names can derive from important ancestors’ first names, occupations, status, or territories they lived in. Nevertheless, according to @TheRoKitMan’s mother, the “Rockett” surname has a more superficial origin: farts.
We understand that not everyone’s last name has a sophisticated and exciting etymology behind it. Still, this Twitter user’s mother’s way of explaining it was a bit rude, in our opinion. We even doubt it’s true. It must’ve been embarrassing both for the user and his friend to hear the woman fart so carelessly.
