Hugging a stranger because you thought they were your friend
A hug is the most straightforward act to let someone know that they are loved and cared for. It may be a simple gesture for many, but it can express one’s feelings better than words. That’s why people hug their friends and relatives after they haven’t seen each other for some time.
However, hugging someone you don’t even know isn’t cute nor heartwarming. We know that @wethemonica13’s mother made an awkward mistake. We can’t blame her for it, though. When you don’t see your acquaintances for a long time, you can easily forget their faces and confuse them with someone else, even with strangers.
