Only Invest in Mutually Beneficial Relationships
Even animals understand the concept of symbiotic relationships, but it seems a bit complicated for some humans to comprehend. Good friendships are hard to find, so they should be held onto dearly. Some people only stay close to friends for the benefits they bring to the relationship.
Unfortunately, there are some people who come into our lives just to use us. We are remembered when they need “urgent” help that no one else can offer. However, the minute we come up with a reason why we are unable to help, it becomes a problem and we are guilt-tripped and gaslighted. If when we try to ask for anything, no matter how little, these so-called friends can’t return the favor. Do well to avoid these types of people.
