Ignore Unrealistic Beauty Standards
Before social media, men and women were expected to meet the beauty standards of magazine models. However, with the birth of apps and social media platforms, the bar for beauty was raised even higher. People have spent thousands of dollars trying to meet up to insane beauty standards. This is wrong.
The infuriating thing is that these beauty standards were set by the beauty and cosmetic industry to sell. These companies have used people’s insecurities to exploit them for decades. So, it would be easier if consumers would just stop listening to them. If people decide to change or alter anything on their bodies, it should be solely because they want to and not because they are trying to meet any unrealistic standard.
